“Phew~ I’m relieved it was just a misunderstanding. I didn’t want to believe that Souma-kun was actually a beast.” (Shizuka)
“I… I knew it from the beginning, though.” (Mafuyu)
“Awawa… I’m sorry~” (Hiyori)
“No, it’s entirely my fault… I’m sorry for causing a commotion.” (Souma)
The incident happened on Monday, and since Hiyorin had her Zanimasu livestream on Tuesday, it feels like it’s been a while since the four of us had dinner together like this. Normally, this is just the usual, but after what happened before, being together again like this does provide a sense of comfort.
“By the way, Hiyorin-san, when are you starting your MeTube channel? It’s ‘Hiyorin’s Tipsy Channel’, right?” (Shizuka)
Shizuka happily took a bite of her oyakodon1 as she spoke to Hiyorin. Shizuka always ate the food I made with such delight that I couldn’t help but fall in love with her a little just for that smile alone. Well, if she had normal life skills than that smile would have been more impactful. Falling in love with Shizuka was something I normally couldn’t have imagined, but strangely, it felt right in a way. Well, thinking about it wouldn’t change anything.
“Soon. I am still thinking about what I want to talk about once I start. I wonder what everyone wants to hear from me?” (Hiyori)
Hiyori lifted her head and looked around at all of us. It seemed like she was a bit loss on joining the streaming industry which was different from her usual work.
“What do you think, Souma-kun? Any thoughts as a fan of Hiyorin-san?” (Shizuka)
“Well, let me think… I think my perspective is a bit different from a regular fan since I’ve gotten to know Hiyori-san like this, but… I think people would want to know more about Hiyori-san herself. Like her personality, you know? Because you can’t really get to know that through the usual Zanimasu live streams or broadcasts.” (Souma)
That’s true, we’re talking about the voice actress Yasumi HIyori, not Hasekura Hiyori. Fans often want to know more about the personal life of their oshis.
“And… well, I think fans would also like to hear some behind-the-scenes stories about your work. It doesn’t apply to me because I am only interested in Hiyorin, but I think a lot of fans enjoy hearing about interactions between voice actors.” (Souma)
“……wow.” (Shizuka)
“Muuu~!” (Hiyori)
“……” (Mafuyu)
“…Uhh, did I say something weird?” (Souma)
I thought I had given a pretty reasonable opinion, but Hiyorin was covering her mouth with her hand, Shizuka seemed displeased, and Mafuyu-chan was eating her oyakodon as if she was ignoring everything. I was a bit taken aback by their reactions, which were quite different from what I had imagined.
“Well, in terms of VTubers, I’m you’re only oshi, right Souma-kun?” (Shizuka)
“Hmm? Oh, yeah, that’s right. I don’t really watch other VTubers much.” (Souma)
“That means that I’m your oshi in real life… because I’m your girlfriend.” (Mafuyu)
“That’s not really true… and I’d appreciate it if you can forget about that soon…” (Souma)
Mafuyu-chan… I wonder when is she going to forget about that girlfriend remark…
“Let’s get back to the topic at hand. Another good idea might be game commentary, right? It tends to get the chat more engaged than just casual chatting. Plus, I might be able to join in if it’s a game.” (Shizuka)
Shizuka’s suggestion hit the mark. She truly is a veteran when it comes to streaming.
When it comes to streaming, game commentary is definitely a classic choice.
I also plan to do a game commentary stream soon as some of my genmates have already begun. I’m a bit behind since I don’t stream as much.
“By the way, everyone found out about the close relationship between Ette-sama and Yasumi Hiyori, right? It’s a bit late to ask, but was everything okay with that? Wasn’t Maya-san quite upset about it?” (Souma)
“Huh? Well~~ I did get scolded a bit. But to be honest, I got scolded more for doing an off-collab at Souma-kun’s place. Apparently that was more serious than the Hiyori-san thing. Speaking of which, are you okay on your side, Hiyori-san?” (Shizuka)
“Well… I haven’t been told anything, so I think I’m fine. I assume my agency is aware of it to some extent, though.” (Hiyori)
“Well, it did trend on Twitter, after all.” (Shizuka)
On the night of that off-collab, “Hiyorin” was trending at number one I think. If that’s the case then her agency must be well aware of it.
“By the way, is it okay to just collaborate like that without permission?” (Souma)
If it’s possible to play games with Hiyorin and Shizuka, I’m interested in giving it a try.
“Hmm… there isn’t really a right answer. It depends on who you are collaborating with, the content, and also them and their manager’s policies . Of course, when it involves companies and money, you need to plan it well in advance, like more than a month ahead. But if it’s just collaborating with friends and everyone is okay with the schedule, I think it should be fine. Like for the recent off-collab where Zeria-chan just decided it on her own.” (Shizuka)
“I see…” (Souma)
So, it seems that if it doesn’t involve money, it’s relatively flexible.
“In that case, since my channel is strictly a personal channel which is unrelated to the agency, collaborations should be easier, right…?” (Hiyori)
“Oh, it’s a personal channel? I actually thought it was the official channel run by the agency.” (Souma)
“That was the original plan, but when I mentioned drinking alcohol, my manager said, ‘I don’t want to take responsibility for that.'” (Hiyori)
“Ahaha…” (Shizuka)
It seemed like the topic of alcohol was dangerous enough to cause unexpected changes to the initial plan.
We could only exchange wry smiles at Hiyorin’s comment. It seems that voice actor agencies are quite serious about their risk management.
“…Then, once Hiyori-san opens her channel, let’s collaborate, okay? I’ll talk to the manager about it!” (Shizuka)
“Thank you, Shizuka-chan. I never would have imagined I could collaborate with Ette-sama. It feels like a dream.” (Hiyori)
Oh, speaking of which, Hiyorin is a fan of Ette-sama, right? I remember her saying something like that when she first moved here.
“Onii-chan, when are you going to let me join your stream?” (Mafuyu)
“Uh… you’ll have to wait a bit longer for that.” (Souma)
Honestly, my viewers, the “Onee-chans”, have a weird sense of humor that I can’t quite comprehend. I felt like I needed to carefully assess the situation until it was the right atmosphere to bring Mafuyu-chan into the stream.
